My devised project is not really a university dissertation but it has the weight of one. For my final epic year of uni, I'll aim to make a game. It has always been a dream ever since I played my first Final Fantasy (VII) on the Sony Playstation 1, to write music for computer games. Now, hopefully I'll get that chance.
This is also mainly influenced by a DS game called Lux Pain. It's an awesome game but sadly because of the dodgy translations, it just didn't reach its full potential. It had awesome details and parts to it that made it wonderful to play but URGH why did it have all those translation errors and typos? It seemed that the localization team couldn't decide on whether to have it set in Japan or America so it seemed to keep switching between the two which got annoying and confusing. But being a hard core gamer, I saw through it in the end.
